He stated that he became fond of Turkey after a recent trip. Member Cymbrowitz went onto say that the teachings of Fethullah Gulen not only inspiring Turkish people but others. He said “That this individual had such an influence on so many people and that I have to say that you don’t have to be Turkish to be influenced by this amazing man, it is an honor to be here today to represent the proclamation to Mr. Fethullah Gulen and this is an assembly proclamation and it’s important for me to read it to you…”
Congressman Ed Towns said that he is proud to serve the congregational district with the largest Turkish-American population in New York State. He said: “Brooklyn is my congregational district, which is the Turkish capital of the United States and I have been working closely with the Turkish-American community and will continue to build on to that relation.” (LISTEN BELOW)
